Pipe Major: Jacob Craig
Coming to Vero Beach most recently from Memphis, TN, Jacob Craig is very proud to be Director of Music and Arts at First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach. Jacob received his Bachelor of Music Education and Performance degree from Shorter University in Rome, GA before moving on to Tallahassee, FL to receive his M.M. in Choral Conducting and Literature under Dr. Andre Thomas at Florida State University.
Jacob began his piping career at the age of 8 years old, and took regular lessons from Jerry Finegan and Norman Livermoore, both previous Pipe Majors of the Atlanta Pipe Band. Jacob began competing at age 10, and was Grade 1 by age 16. For nearly 10 years Jacob attended the North American Academy of Piping and the Balmoral School where he was fortunate to study with Ed Nigh, Sandy Jones, Greg Abbott, Bill Caudill, Alasdair Gillies, Norman Gillies, Jack Lee and many others. Jacob also spent a summer abroad in Nova Scotia where he attended the Gaelic College.
Pipe Sergeant: Jack Anderson
Raised and educated in Virginia at the College of William & Mary, Jack began his career by studying Russian in the Soviet Union. He then worked as a Soviet military analyst for the Department of Defense; became an independent Russian Affairs Consultant and translator; travelled frequently to Russia after the collapse of the USSR; represented American clients there; and negotiated on their behalf in the new post-communist Russia.
Before coming to Florida Jack played bagpipes ten years in Denver for the Centennial State Pipes and Drums and performed professional solo gigs in the Rocky Mountain region. Jack enjoys keeping up his language skills by reading Russian novels and listening to their audio editions also in Russian. Jack aspires to take a group of pipers to Moscow and perform at the Kremlin wall on Red Square.

Drum Major: John Thompson
John is a retired Defense Contractor and a Vietnam Veteran. John and his wife Ivy have lived in Vero Beach of nearly 35 years. Just picking up the chanter recently, John is under the instruction of Jacob Craig. John is an accomplished Ballroom Dancer and enjoys singing and acting. John also serves on the Board of the Scottish Society of the Treasure Coast.
Alex Ross: Treasurer
A retired college professor, Alex Ross moved to Vero Beach with his wife and two daughters in 1995. He began playing the bagpipes in 1998. He also enjoys playing the piano and classical guitar.
